I received some questions about very pertinent topics and they will all be answered in the next few posts, in length.
One of the most popular topics was skinny jeans:
Skinny jeans are fitted jeans with an actual "skinny" fit that conform to the shape of your legs.
Mostly all body types can wear skinny jeans, but in very specific ways:
*Top Heavy, Inverted Triangle, All Sizes
If you are top heavy, like an inverted triangle, skinny jeans may not be the best choice for you at all.
The goal for your shape is to add volume to your lower half to balance the body; Skinny jeans will do the opposite- they will make the bottom half look even smaller creating a disproportionate, unbalanced figure.
Stick with boot cut, straight leg, or wide leg jeans and pants.
*Extra Small to Average ( sizes 0-12):
-If you have an hourglass shape, you can wear your skinny jeans with hip length tops, mid-thigh length tops and tops that fall just above and just below the knee;
all lengths except above the hip and way below the knee.
-If you have a rectangular/straight shape , you can wear skinny jeans with a top of any length ,except tops that fall below the knee.
-If you are bottom heavy, like a triangle, you want to wear darkwash skinny jeans only with looser- fitting tops that fall mid-thigh or just above the knee to be sure to keep the body in balance.
* Plus Sizes (sizes 14 and up)
Plus -sized ladies (that are not top heavy like an inverted triangle) should wear darkwash skinny jeans only with looser- fitting tops that fall just above the knee and possibly midthigh (as long as the thighs do not appear to be bulging or way bigger than the calves) to keep the body in balance.
What shoes can you wear with skinny jeans?
Boots (tucked in), sneakers, booties, flats and heels (with or without rolled up hem) all look very cute with this type of jean.
Are they hijabi-friendly?
Nope, sorry girls they are not hijabi-friendly.
They are too form-fitting.
Stick with straight leg or wide leg jeans and pants.
However, at private events or in the privacy of your home, go for it!(Follow guidelines above)
